Job Title: Assembler | Weekly Pay

Job Description

This role focuses on the full-cycle mechanical assembly of large industrial generators and related components, from initial setup through to finished product, using a variety of tools and working from detailed blueprints and schematics.

Responsibilities

• Assemble large industrial generators from start to finish, ensuring all components meet quality and safety standards.
• Assemble motors, fans, pipelines, and electrical wiring according to engineering specifications and customer requirements.
• Interpret and work directly from detailed blueprints and schematics to complete assemblies accurately.
• Use hand tools, power tools, and pneumatic tools safely and effectively during the assembly process.
• Perform crating and packaging of finished products as needed to prepare them for shipment.
• Lift and move components and assemblies weighing up to 50 pounds throughout the workday.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area in the open bay/warehouse production environment.
• Follow all safety procedures and guidelines while working with tools, equipment, and heavy components.

Essential Skills

• At least 6 months of experience in large product mechanical assembly.
• Experience using hand tools, power tools, and pneumatic tools for mechanical assembly tasks for a minimum of 6 months.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics to perform accurate assemblies.
• Capability to lift and handle components weighing up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail in assembling complex products.
• Comfort working with motors, fans, pipelines, and basic electrical wiring.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience as a car mechanic or automotive technician, with transferable mechanical skills.
• Prior experience in an open bay or warehouse production environment.
• Familiarity with industrial generators or similar large mechanical equipment.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a production setting.

Work Environment

The position is based in an open bay/warehouse production environment that involves working around large industrial equipment and assemblies. You will regularly use hand tools, power tools, and pneumatic tools and will handle components weighing up to 50 pounds. The setting is production-focused, with active assembly areas and material handling throughout the facility. Appropriate work attire suited for a warehouse and production environment is expected, including clothing and footwear that support safety and comfort while working with tools and heavy components.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Mankato, MN.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Mankato,MN.
