This full-time contract opportunity spans the academic year, running from August 11th, 2026, through May 24th, 2027. You’ll work onsite, providing essential support across two elementary schools, helping students navigate personal, academic, and social challenges.

Key Qualifications:

• Active Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with a Social Worker endorsement
• Previous experience as a School Social Worker strongly preferred
• Solid understanding of social work practices in an educational setting
• Exceptional communication and organizational skills
• Ability to collaborate effectively with students, staff, and families
• Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and professional ethics

Core Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct social work services to students with diverse backgrounds and needs
• Conduct assessments and develop individualized intervention plans
• Work collaboratively with teachers, administrators, and families to promote student well-being
• Facilitate small groups and classroom sessions focused on social and emotional learning
• Maintain accurate records and report on student progress
• Support crisis intervention efforts and connect families to community resources
• Contribute to IEP meetings and support compliance with all relevant regulations
