Our client in Mentor is seeking an experienced Fabricator / TIG Welder to join their team on a direct hire basis. This role is ideal for a skilled metal fabricator with strong stainless steel TIG welding experience who can work from blueprints and produce high-quality finished products.
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work orders
- Fabricate, fit, and assemble metal components to specification
- Perform stainless steel TIG welding on a variety of products and assemblies
- Cut, grind, shape, and finish materials using fabrication equipment
- Measure and inspect parts to ensure quality and accuracy
- Operate shop equipment including grinders, saws, shears, press brakes, and other fabrication tools
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Follow quality standards and production schedules
- Previous fabrication and welding experience required
- Stainless steel TIG welding experience is required
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Experience using measuring tools such as tape measures, calipers, and squares
- Knowledge of metal fabrication processes and materials
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and work in a manufacturing environment throughout the shift
- Lift and move materials up to 50 lbs.
- Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination
- Ability to safely operate fabrication and welding equipment
