Site Reliability Engineer - AWS, Kubernetes

Salary: $61,000 - 101,000 per year Requirements:

• Formal training or certification in site reliability engineering concepts, plus 3+ years of practical experience
• Exposure to, or direct experience supporting, SRE practices for data management or migration platforms and products, including on-premises and public cloud components such as compute, storage, networking, and databases
• Understanding of core SRE principles, including monitoring, incident response, capacity awareness, and toil identification, with the ability to define and track relevant SLIs and SLOs
• Strong grounding in site reliability culture and principles, with familiarity in applying these practices within an application or platform
• Proficiency in at least one programming language or configuration/resource management tool such as Python, Ansible, or Terraform
• Experience with observability, including white-box and black-box monitoring, SLO-based alerting, and telemetry collection using tools such as Grafana, Dynatrace, Prometheus, Datadog, or Splunk
• Experience supporting platforms and applications in public, private, or hybrid cloud environments, including container orchestration technologies such as Kubernetes, ECS, and Docker
• Experience with continuous integration and continuous delivery tools such as Jenkins, GitLab, or Terraform
• Familiarity with troubleshooting common networking technologies and issues
• Familiarity with container environments and orchestration, along with troubleshooting network-related issues

• Guide and support teammates in building appropriate design approaches and building consensus, while helping drive adoption of site reliability engineering best practices
• Partner with other software engineers and teams to design, develop, test, and implement deployment and reliability solutions using automated CI/CD pipelines
• Use enterprise-authorized AI capabilities in the work environment to speed up incident triage, troubleshooting, and post-incident review, while validating outputs and managing operational data according to sensitivity and security requirements
• Implement infrastructure, configuration, and network as code for the applications and platforms we support
• Work with technical specialists, key stakeholders, and team members to resolve complex issues and proactively address risks using service level indicators and objectives before they affect customers
• Apply enterprise-authorized AI capabilities to identify patterns in operational signals that suggest reliability risk or recurring toil, prioritizing reuse-first improvements aligned to SLO outcomes
• Contribute to improving availability, reliability, and scalability of our applications through iterative enhancements
• Proactively identify blockers and improvement opportunities to solve business problems, including evaluating new technologies where appropriate
