Commercial Litigation Attorney

A well-established business law firm in Towson, MD is seeking an experienced Business Litigation Attorney to join its growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a litigator who thrives in a collaborative environment and wants to handle sophisticated commercial disputes for a diverse client base.

Responsibilities:

• Manage all phases of business litigation matters, from pre-suit through trial, including case strategy, discovery, motions practice, and settlement negotiations
• Represent clients in disputes involving contracts, partnerships, shareholder issues, business torts, and related commercial matters
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other litigation documents
• Conduct depositions and represent clients in court appearances, hearings, and arbitrations
• Manage client relationships and provide strategic counsel on litigation risk and business objectives
• Collaborate with partners and associates on case strategy and staffing
• Mentor junior associates as needed

Qualifications:

• J.D. from an accredited law school and active license to practice law in Maryland
• 5+ years of business litigation experience at a law firm
• Strong background in commercial litigation, including contract disputes, business torts, and related matters
• Excellent writing, research, and oral advocacy skills
• Proven ability to manage a caseload independently
• Strong interpersonal and client management skills
• Portable book of business a plus but not required

The annual salary for this position is between $150,000 and $200,000. Factors which may affect pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
