Financial Controller

We are seeking an experienced Financial Controller who wants more than a traditional accounting role. This individual will build and lead the company's accounting and financial operations while helping shape the future financial infrastructure of Enbasis. Position Summary The Financial Controller will serve as the company's senior accounting professional and will be responsible for all accounting, financial reporting, cash management, budgeting, compliance, and internal controls. As the company grows, this individual will design scalable financial processes, implement best practices, and build the future accounting and finance organization. The successful candidate is equally comfortable performing day-to-day accounting activities while also serving as a strategic business partner to leadership. Key Responsibilities Lead all accounting operations for the company Own the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close process Prepare timely and accurate financial statements Ensure compliance with GAAP and applicable accounting standards Develop accounting policies and procedures Manage cash flow forecasting and liquidity planning Develop annual budgets and financial forecasts Prepare management reporting and executive dashboards Operational Finance Oversee Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable Manage payroll accounting and related reporting Reconcile bank accounts and maintain fixed asset records Compliance & Controls Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax requirements Manage annual financial reviews or audits Develop internal controls to safeguard company assets Strategic Leadership Partner with executive leadership on business strategy Develop KPIs and financial performance metrics Recommend process improvements that increase operational efficiency Systems & Process Development Lead accounting software implementation and optimization Build scalable accounting processes for future growth Document financial workflows and internal procedures Team Development As Enbasis grows, the Financial Controller will: Build the accounting and finance team Develop departmental processes and standards Create a culture of accountability and continuous improvement Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance 7+ years of progressive accounting experience 3+ years in a Controller, Assistant Controller, or Accounting Manager role Strong knowledge of GAAP Experience leading monthly financial close Experience with budgeting and forecasting Advanced Excel skills Experience with modern accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage Intacct, NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar) Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and presentation abilities Preferred Qualifications MBA is a plus Experience working in a startup or high-growth environment Technology or SaaS industry experience Experience implementing ERP or accounting systems Experience supporting fundraising, banking relationships, or investor reporting Knowledge of multi-entity accounting is a plus Competitive compensation package including: Competitive base salary (commensurate with experience) Performance-based bonus opportunity Health, dental, and vision insurance Paid time off and company holidays Opportunity for future leadership growth as the company expands Salary Range $100k to $120K Enbasis Inc. is an equal opportunity employer , and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability status, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.
