Quality Technician

Insight Global is searching for a Technician for a medical device client in Arbor Lakes, Maple Grove, MN. This Technician will support the client's interventional cardiology systems team on new product development efforts tied to next-generation imaging catheter programs, as well as some sustaining to support a quality initiative. The role will sit within a systems test and product performance testing environment where the team replicates clinical scenarios, supports statistical data generation, and helps verify that products meet design standards. This person will directly support medical device product development from concept through commercialization by executing tests, assisting with test method development, supporting design verification and validation activities, and documenting testing results thoroughly and accurately.

Day to day, this Technician will work hands-on in a lab environment alongside engineers and other technicians to execute testing per documented work instructions, assemble equipment and fixturing, assist with lab organization, stock lab supplies, support equipment tracking, and perform hardware and software installation as needed. The team is highly cross-functional and includes engineers and technicians supporting test development, product performance testing, and sustaining activities. The ideal candidate is hands-on, mechanically inclined, comfortable learning new systems and motivated to support a wide variety of lab and quality-related tasks in a regulated medical device environment.

Required Skills & Experience

2-year technical or associate's degree
Previous experience running testing equipment in a lab, production, quality, or technical environment
0 to 2 years of experience in quality, product development, medical device, or another regulated industry environment
Experience using Microsoft Office, including the ability to document testing results and support lab-related reporting accurately
Hands-on technical aptitude with the ability to work with equipment, fixturing, hardware, software, and lab-based testing activities
Ability to follow documented work instructions while executing product testing and supporting design verification activities


Nice to Have Skills & Experience

2 years technical degree specifically in medical device technology
Experience in quality, production quality operations, or a transferable hands-on builder or technician role
Familiarity with purchasing systems or internal lab support processes, with MyBuy experience being helpful but trainable
