Laboratory Assistant II

Labcorp seeks a Laboratory Assistant II for the Microbiology team in Indianapolis. The role involves specimen handling, reagent preparation, quality control support, and equipment maintenance within a microbiology laboratory environment.

Responsibilities Receive, process, and properly store specimens and reagents per department protocols Prepare and label quality control materials and maintain accurate records Support testing personnel by preparing samples for analysis Perform equipment maintenance and pipette calibrations as needed Assist with training new staff and maintain clean, organized work environment Requirements High school diploma or equivalent One year of laboratory assistant experience Proficiency with computer systems and laboratory software Working knowledge of specimen receipt, transfer, and storage procedures Experience with Microsoft Office applications Strong attention to detail and documentation skills
