TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Med/Surg RN in Wilmington, North Carolina, 28401!

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Surgical Duration: 26 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years required License: Current state or compact license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS required Must-Have: Teamwork approach to patient care Focus on patient safety Must have passed EKG Testing prior to start for this specialty Description: This is a Neuro Unit. RTO after booking is not allowed and cannot be worked out onsite. Any call-offs or additional RTO on the unit could possibly lead to a cancellation and DNR. Patient ratios are 1:6. All applicants are required to float as needed. Travelers are expected to work 5-6 weekend shifts, equating to every other weekend. Contract staff may be assigned and expected to work in emergency situations, such as catastrophic events or disasters. The daily patient census averages around 24 patients. Interdisciplinary support includes various medical teams such as IV Teams, Physical Therapy, and Rapid Response Teams. Patient diagnoses are focused on general medicine, with an emphasis on neurology. Preferred skills include NIH and neuro experience, as well as experience or a willingness to learn the charge nurse role. Applicants must meet behavioral expectations in all interactions with patients and staff.
