Work Environment\n

This position offers a unique remote work setting, complemented by occasional in-person engagements at our outpatient office to facilitate collaboration with our multidisciplinary health team and provide essential face-to-face support to students. The typical work schedule is Monday to Friday, from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with the possibility of occasional evening shifts and rotating weekend coverage to ensure holistic mental health services.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments for students, collecting detailed personal histories and identifying risk factors to develop tailored treatment plans.

• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and trauma-informed approaches, adapting services to meet the unique needs of each student.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, creating a safe environment for students to express their emotions, learn coping strategies, and achieve their personal development goals.

• Collaborate with psychiatrists, psychologists, and other mental health professionals to ensure cohesive treatment strategies and coordinate comprehensive care for students.

• Provide immediate crisis intervention during mental health emergencies, using de-escalation techniques and making necessary referrals for students requiring higher levels of care.

• Empower students and their families through psychoeducation, helping them understand mental health conditions and navigate available resources.

• Maintain precise and timely documentation of assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes in compliance with ethical and legal standards.

• Engage in regular multidisciplinary team meetings and training sessions, contributing to a culture of continuous learning and collaboration.

You will primarily work with a diverse range of school-aged children and adolescents, many of whom face unique challenges. Qualifications\n

• A Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution is required.

• Current and valid LCSW licensure in the state of Connecticut.

Compensation and Benefits\n
