Job Details

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Litigation Legal Assistant to join our dynamic legal team on a permanent basis. This role is integral to our organization as it provides essential support to our attorneys by managing critical aspects of litigation cases. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in legal support roles, a deep understanding of the litigation process, and exceptional organizational skills. Experience with efiling and calendar management is crucial. Responsibilities: As a Litigation Legal Assistant, your duties will include but are not limited to:

• Assisting attorneys in the preparation and filing of all court documents.
• Organizing and managing electronic and hard copy document collections.
• Managing complex calendars, meeting deadlines, and ensuring attorneys are prepared for meetings, court appearances, and depositions.
• Coordinating with clients, court personnel, and other law firms.
• Conducting legal research and drafting legal documents under the supervision of an attorney.
• Managing the efiling process in various courts and jurisdictions.
• Assisting in the preparation of case strategies, including the identification of relevant legal issues and case facts.
• Maintaining strict confidentiality of all client information.

Qualifications: The ideal candidate for the Litigation Legal Assistant role will possess the following qualifications:

• A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Legal Assistant in a litigation environment, commercial or business litigation preferred.
• Proficiency in efiling systems and procedures.
• Exceptional calendar management skills, with the ability to manage multiple attorneys' schedules and deadlines.
• Strong knowledge of legal terminology, court rules, and procedures.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• High level of organization and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently, manage large workloads, and keep deadlines.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• A degree or certificate in legal studies is preferred but not required.
