Production Assistant

Production AssistantResponsible for working in various positions throughout the day. This individual has a working knowledge of all processes throughout the plant and can perform various functions. The Production Assistant has no assigned job other than to be placed where he/she is needed.Responsibilities and DutiesProducing high-quality finished goods and ensuring efficient and safe machine operationFollowing all Company Safety Rules and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)Able to perform all necessary functions to ensure production keeps moving.Responsible for learning all processes to perform in the Floater position.Responsible for maintaining and cleaning the work area.Responsible for cleaning materials to be processed as finished goods.Assembles orders that are processed (standard items) together to be shipped.Perform the duties of production forklift operator as needed.QualificationsWork independently with minimal supervision and resolve conflict in a professional manner.Must be able to stand for long hours and be able to lift at or above the waist at a maximum of seventy poundsPrevious experience in a manufacturing setting or a related position.Mechanical aptitudeA great sense of humorAbility to prioritize and handle multiple duties/projects at one timeWork Environment: Employee is regularly exposed to fumes or airborne particles. Frequently exposed to work near moving mechanical parts. Occasionally exposed to the risk of electrical shock, and vibration. Noise Level: Medium LoudPosition Type/Hours of Work: Full-time, Monday - Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.Required Education and Experience: High School Diploma/GEDSalary/Benefits: FLSA Status: Non-Exempt.
