Security Officer - Major Utility Provider

As a Security Officer - Major Utility Provider, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer supporting dynamic utility and telecommunications locations. In this role, you will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help deter security‑related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $19.20 / Hour Job Schedule: Mon – 11:00 PM – 07:00 AM Wed – 11:00 PM – 07:00 AM Thur – 11:00 PM – 07:00 AM Fri – 11:00 PM – 07:00 AM What You’ll Do: Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and/or employees while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at utility and communications locations. Respond to incidents, service requests, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, documenting relevant details and communicating with site contacts and/or emergency personnel as needed. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, access points, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and/or unusual conditions. Monitor entry and exit activity, verify credentials when required, and report suspicious behavior, maintenance concerns, and/or policy violations according to site protocols. Support security-related operations for offices, facilities, and/or infrastructure areas by maintaining a visible presence, following post orders, and assisting with access control and incident reporting duties. Minimum Requirements: Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
