Inventory Control AssociateExciting opportunity for an Inventory Control Associate at the Midwest Parts Distribution Center (PDC) in Joliet, IL. The Midwest PDC has more than 800,000 square feet of space and over 80,000 SKUs. The Inventory Control Associate will report into the Finance Manager. In this position you will split your time in an office environment and in the warehouse assisting in managing warehouse inventory.Basic Requirements:Associate's degree and at least 1 year of materials management experience ORAt least 2 years of materials management experienceResponsibilities include but are not limited to:Perform clerical and support tasks to ensure that inventories are secure, properly identified and readily accessible to authorized personnelUnder supervision, assist with physical inventory counts and reconciling results with inventory recordsInvestigate inventory overages/shortages, cycle count discrepancies, and locate missing inventoryEnsure that quantities of incoming and outgoing shipments are correctAssist with processing Shipped in Error (SIE) claims and investigations as well as Dealer ReturnsProvide backup and assist with other Inventory Control duties as neededAssist with Pick Exceptions/Inventory Shortages throughout the dayAverage hours per week: 40 hrsDesired Skills:MS OfficeStrong Effective Interpersonal Communication SkillsVerbal/Written/ListeningCustomer Service SkillsData EntryConflict ManagementAbility to Work Well Under Deadline PressureAbility to Prioritize and Handle Multiple TasksAbility to lift up to 50 lbs and be comfortable with escalated heightsMust be comfortable being trained to drive a Cherry PickerExperience with Manhattan Warehouse Management Software or TOLAS System are a plus
