Senior Tax Accountant

Responsibilities Kforce has a client in Canonsburg, PA that is seeking a Senior Tax Accountant to be a key member of the Corporate Tax team, supporting both direct and indirect tax activities across the organization. This role offers broad exposure to the full tax function, including income tax compliance, ASC 740 tax provisions, estimated payments, extensions, audit support, and tax technology initiatives. Key Responsibilities: Promote and uphold the organization's core values of Safety, Sustainability, and Continuous Improvement Support an efficient, accurate month-end close and financial reporting process while identifying opportunities to improve workflows Prepare and file federal, state, and local tax returns and ensure timely tax payments Develop corporate income tax workpapers and calculate book-to-tax adjustments Assist with quarterly tax estimates, extensions, and annual income tax provision activities Research tax planning opportunities and communicate recommendations to the tax team Support the implementation and administration of corporate tax incentives by partnering with internal stakeholders Prepare sales, use, and severance tax returns and related payment schedules Manage tax compliance requirements, including annual reports, business licenses, and exemption certificates Review transactional tax accruals and prepare journal entries when necessary Analyze tax law changes, assess impacts on the organization, and model potential tax scenarios Partner with external auditors, consultants, and advisors on audits and special projects This position is ideal for a tax professional seeking hands-on experience across corporate tax compliance, reporting, planning, and process improvement initiatives. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline required 2-4 years of progressive experience in income tax compliance and tax accounting within either a public accounting firm or corporate tax environment Experience with OneSource Income Tax and OneSource Tax Provision software preferred Strong knowledge of tax accounting principles, ASC 740, FIN 48, stock-based compensation, and federal and state income tax compliance requirements Demonstrated research, analytical, and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex tax matters Proficient in Microsoft Office and other business software applications Strong business acumen, financial understanding, and interpersonal communication skills Proven ability to manage multiple projects, balance competing priorities, and meet tight deadlines The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law.
