Beyond data centers, our Critical Facilities team delivers high‑performance projects for research, supercomputing, command and control centers, SCIFs, distribution and logistics, high‑tech manufacturing, and various other technology‑rich project types. Your Role As a Gensler Architect you will collaborate with our design team to develop innovative design solutions and coordinate the design through the construction documentation phase of a project. You will translate sketches and documents into realized 2D/3‑D models and images, research artistic and technical issues as they arise, and leverage your technical acumen with Revit to drive client projects from concept through build in a collaborative team. Your work is critical in the design and delivery of world‑class data centers and other high‑performance technology‑rich projects. Responsibilities Coordinate and manage communication between project team, client, vendors, contractors, and consultants. Resolve complex technical and design issues with the team to produce innovative, constructible solutions. Direct production of drawings, specifications, and construction administration tasks. Oversee and deliver documents with design intent and top‑notch technical quality. Provide guidance and mentorship to the team while maintaining and overseeing the project manual and specifications. Conduct on‑site observations and document site reviews. Interface with building and permitting officials during permitting and construction phases. Contribute to the financial performance of the project and review proposals and contracts with the Project Manager. Ensure projects conform to the contract and lead teams for successful delivery. Manage client expectations, oversee consultant coordination, and contribute to office initiatives and learning programs. Establish and maintain productive client relationships. Qualifications Registered Architect required. Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from an accredited university required. 8+ years of related experience required, with demonstrated success on Critical Facilities, Industrial, or other relevant projects preferred. Strong proficiency in Revit, 3D modeling, visualization, and graphic software. Full knowledge of architectural principles and practices. Working knowledge of building codes, standards, and building structures. Experience with the entire project lifecycle and design process through post‑occupancy. Flexibility to focus on concurrent projects in various stages of development. Well‑rounded, strategic thinker with an integrated approach to design, management, and technical project resolution.
