Headquartered in Burlington, ON, and through its multiple subsidiaries across North America, Europe, Africa, and Asia, Anaergia is trusted at more than 1,600 installations globally.Job ResponsibilitiesOperations & Maintenance of CHP (Combined Heat & Power) systems is a primary responsibilityFollow PM (Preventive Maintenance) schedule, routine field inspection of all equipment, complete daily site-walk to assess equipment visual health, completing routine greasing and oil top-up runs, and filling completed PM/Job Order on CMMSIdentify spare parts and consumables procurement needs and prepare requisitions for approvalFamiliar with basic electrical repairs and sensor troubleshootingSupport in organizing spare parts, tools, and consumables (Oil, Grease, Seals, Bearings, etc.); maintaining records, and ensuring the availability of spare parts on timeDismantling of equipment such as blowers/pumpsDevelop and maintain skills such as using forklifts, hoists, cranes, and hand and power tools, and examining the form and texture of partsInspecting and collecting information on parts/pipes and other equipment; use rules, calipers, and other measuring instrumentsFollow all safety SOPs and support in the fabrication of temp lines, pipes, patchwork, welding, grinding, or cutting work on siteCleaning equipment as necessaryEnsure all calibration records for crane, lifting devices, etc., are always up to date and kept in recordsInspects and tests eye washes and other life safety systemsMaintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulationsEnsure that the work area is kept clean, free of hazards, and is hygienicTeam collaboration to achieve goals and objectives as neededWorks as a backup operator as neededFlexibility in working longer hours/overtime or weekend workJob RequirementsEducation and ExperienceGraduation from high school or GED equivalent.Has taken some training toward a licensed tradeMust possess a valid driver's license and a satisfactory driving record, the ability to become mobile crane certified, personnel lift, and forklift certified.Technical SkillsAbility to read blueprints, technical manuals, and engineering specifications to maintain and repair equipmentIdentify the tools and equipment necessary for repair and maintenance workIdentify parts and other materials required to maintain and fix equipmentPerform basic diagnostic testing of pumps, compressors, conveyors, screws, and other large industrial machineryAbility to check machine performance, dismantle machines, and remove parts for repair using hand tools, chain falls, jacks, cranes, or hoistsTest damaged parts according to specifications; replace the damaged and worn parts if necessaryReassemble machines after the completion of repair or maintenance workClean and lubricate machinery, including changing oils when requiredListening to the equipment to understand variances and possible problemsBasic pipefitting capabilitiesAbility to maintain records of repair and maintenance work using the CMMS systemCapable of leading contract mechanical work activities outside the capabilities of our local staffAbility to weld is an assetAs an Equal Opportunity Employer, Anaergia provides equal employment opportunity (EEO) to all persons regardless of age, color, national origin, citizenship status, physical or mental disability, race, religion, creed, gender, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity and/or expression, genetic information, marital status, status with regard to public assistance, veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local law.
