Location: Orlando, FL (Possibly remote)

Position Summary

The Mechanical / Plumbing Estimator supports preconstruction by developing cost estimates for mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, piping, and related construction scopes. The role reviews project documentation, performs takeoffs, develops labor and material estimates, obtains equipment and subcontractor pricing, evaluates scope requirements, and supports complete project bids and proposals.

Key Responsibilities

• Review mechanical and plumbing drawings and specifications.
• Perform quantity takeoffs.
• Develop estimates for labor, material, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
• Obtain pricing from manufacturers, suppliers, and subcontractors.
• Develop conceptual, budgetary, and detailed estimates.
• Identify project risks, assumptions, exclusions, and scope gaps.
• Assist with subcontractor bid reviews and leveling.
• Evaluate equipment and material requirements.
• Maintain estimating documentation and cost data.
• Coordinate with preconstruction, operations, engineering, project management, vendors, and subcontractors.

Preferred Background

• Mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, piping, or MEP estimating experience.
• Experience performing takeoffs and reading mechanical drawings/specifications.
• Experience with equipment and material pricing.
• Experience working with vendors and subcontractors.
• Data center, mission-critical, industrial, semiconductor, advanced manufacturing, healthcare, or commercial construction exposure is beneficial.
