Staff Accountant

Location: Maitland, FL



Pay Rate: $34.00/hour


We are seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our growing team in Maitland, FL. The ideal candidate will support daily accounting operations, maintain accurate financial records, and assist with month-end close activities. This role is perfect for an accounting professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys working collaboratively across departments.


Responsibilities:

• Prepare and post journal entries, account reconciliations, and adjusting entries
• Assist with month-end and year-end close processes
• Reconcile bank, credit card, and general ledger accounts
• Maintain fixed asset and prepaid expense schedules
• Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions as needed
• Analyze financial data and investigate account discrepancies
• Assist with audit preparation and compliance requirements
• Prepare financial reports and support management with ad hoc analysis
• Ensure adherence to accounting policies and internal controls

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 2 years of accounting experience preferred
• Strong understanding of GAAP and accounting principles
• Proficiency with Excel and accounting software/ERP systems
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
