Staff Accountant

Staff Accountant Location: Maitland, FL Pay Rate: $34.00/hour We are seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our growing team in Maitland, FL. The ideal candidate will support daily accounting operations, maintain accurate financial records, and assist with month-end close activities. This role is perfect for an accounting professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys working collaboratively across departments. Responsibilities: Prepare and post journal entries, account reconciliations, and adjusting entries Assist with month-end and year-end close processes Reconcile bank, credit card, and general ledger accounts Maintain fixed asset and prepaid expense schedules Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions as needed Analyze financial data and investigate account discrepancies Assist with audit preparation and compliance requirements Prepare financial reports and support management with ad hoc analysis Ensure adherence to accounting policies and internal controls Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 2 years of accounting experience preferred Strong understanding of GAAP and accounting principles Proficiency with Excel and accounting software/ERP systems Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines We offer a collaborative work environment, opportunities for professional growth, and the chance to make an immediate impact on our finance team.
