Staff Accountant

Our client is hiring a Staff Accountant with QuickBooks or Sage experience! This is a great opportunity to join a growing organization in a hands-on accounting role, working closely with the CFO and gaining exposure across the accounting function. Responsibilities Prepare and post journal entries and maintain the general ledger. Assist with month-end and year-end close processes. Perform bank and account reconciliations. Prepare financial reports and analyze account variances. Support accounts payable, accounts receivable, and fixed asset accounting as needed. Ensure compliance with GAAP and company accounting policies. Assist with audits and maintain accurate financial records. Collaborate with internal teams to support day-to-day accounting operations. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field 3-5+ years of corporate accounting experience QuickBooks or Sage experience preferred Strong knowledge of GAAP and general ledger accounting Experience with month-end close and account reconciliations Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting/ERP software Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills with excellent attention to detail Ascendo is a certified minority-owned staffing firm, and we welcome and celebrate diversity.
