As an Accounting Specialist, you'll be part of a high-performing accounting team supporting lease administration, financial reporting, reconciliations, and landlord relationships. The Accounting Specialist will gain exposure to specialized areas of accounting while developing skills that can lead to future opportunities in property accounting, financial reporting, and corporate accounting.

Key Responsibilities of the Accounting Specialist

• Process monthly landlord payments and ensure lease obligations are paid accurately and on time as the Accounting Specialist
• Review and reconcile Common Area Maintenance (CAM) charges, research discrepancies, and coordinate resolutions as the Accounting Specialist
• Communicate with landlords and internal departments regarding payments, lease terms, account balances, and related inquiries as the Accounting Specialist
• Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end adjustments to support accurate financial reporting as the Accounting Specialist
• Identify cost-saving opportunities, maintain lease documentation, and assist with special projects as the Accounting Specialist

Qualifications for the Accounting Specialist

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred; high school diploma required
• 3+ years of accounting experience, including reconciliations, invoice processing, journal entries, or general ledger support
• Strong Excel skills, including VLOOKUPs; Oracle, Discoverer, or similar ERP experience preferred
