We are seeking a dedicated Yard Worker to join our team. This role involves supporting the efficient operation of our warehouse and yard activities, including materials handling, quality control and equipment operation. The ideal candidate will be proactive, safety-conscious, and possess a solid understanding of construction yard processes. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to a well-organized logistics environment while developing valuable skills in heavy equipment operation and quality control.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload materials using various heavy equipment such as forklifts and cranes, and pallet jacks, ensuring safe handling at all times.
• Perform heavy lifting tasks to move materials within the yard.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the yard to promote safety and operational efficiency.
• Support inventory management by conducting regular stock counts and updating records.
• Follow OSHA safety guidelines diligently during all operations to prevent accidents or injuries
• Assist in construction-related tasks when required, supporting ongoing projects or facility maintenance.

Requirements

• Prior experience in construction environments is highly preferred.
• Demonstrated proficiency with heavy equipment operation including forklifts, cranes, clamp trucks, and pallet jacks.
• Knowledge of OSHA safety standards related to warehouse operations and heavy equipment use.
• Mechanical aptitude for troubleshooting basic equipment issues.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently on a regular basis.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in inventory control and documentation.
• Basic understanding of construction procedures or related mechanical knowledge is a plus.

Physical demands and work environment

• Must be physically fit as the work environment requires you to work outside 300 days out of the year. You will be exposed to heat and or cold.
• Shade, rain gear and heating elements will be provided during cool and rainy months
