Job Summary

The Research and Prospect Management Department is currently seeking a Temporary Research and Prospect Management Assistant to join their team of professionals.

Duties include:

• Manage research request queue.
• Oversee and prioritize incoming research requests, ensuring timely assignment, tracking, and completion while maintaining clear communication with stakeholders on request status and deadlines.
• Coordinate President's Office research and event briefings.
• Prepare high-quality, confidential research materials and briefing documents in support of the Office of the President, including background research for meetings, events, and strategic engagements.
• Conduct research and develop comprehensive profiles.
• Perform in-depth research and analysis on individuals, corporations, and foundations to produce detailed prospect profiles that support fundraising and institutional advancement efforts.
• Produce and manage daily news briefings.
• Compile and distribute daily news summaries highlighting relevant media coverage, and identify notable updates related to alumni, donors, and institutional priorities.
• Maintain and update alumni and prospect database.
• Accurately record and update biographical and professional information, including promotions, obituaries, weddings, engagements, and other newsworthy updates, ensuring data integrity and completeness.
• Train new student employees on database use Provide onboarding and training for student staff on database systems, research tools, and office procedures to ensure consistency and efficiency in data entry and research practices.
• Support data management and cleanup projects.
• Manage and execute ongoing data maintenance initiatives, including deceased records processing, employment updates, and large-scale data cleanup projects to improve database accuracy and usability.

Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma with three (3) years of experience or two (2) years of post-secondary education with one (1) year of experience; OR an equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience.
