Registered Nurse - Endoscopy/GI

Shift Type: Varied shifts, 8-hour days with weekend call required

Hours per Week: 40

Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional patient care during EGDs, colonoscopies, ERCPs, and other GI procedures
• Administer moderate sedation when anesthesia support is unavailable
• Collaborate with the charge nurse and interdisciplinary team to ensure smooth case flow
• Float to PACU or ACU as needed to support the broader unit
• Document accurately using Cerner-Surginet and maintain thorough patient records
• Respond to emergency cases with confidence and clinical expertise

Knowledge & Skills

• Endoscopy and GI procedures
• Moderate sedation administration
• Cerner-Surginet documentation
• Strong assessment and critical-thinking skills
• Ability to float between departments as needed

Requirements

• Active California RN license
• BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke certifications
• Minimum 2 years of GI/Endoscopy experience
• Moderate sedation experience preferred
• Cerner charting experience is a plus
