What You'll Do

• Provide high-quality patient care on a Medical Surgical/Telemetry unit
• Monitor patient conditions, including sepsis, cellulitis, DVT/PE, CHF, COPD, COVID, and PNA
• Assist with post-operative care, including total joint surgeries and GI procedures
• Manage wound care, JP drains, wound vacs, hemodialysis catheters, and PCA pumps
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including hospitalists, therapists, and support staff
• Follow unit protocols and maintain documentation in Meditech Expanse EMR
• Adapt to floating within various Med/Surg units as needed

What You Need

• Active RN license in Louisiana
• Minimum 2 years recent acute care RN experience
• BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications
• Ability to pass an EKG competency exam
• Strong wound management, catheter care, and pain management skills
• Flexibility to work 12-hour night shifts, including every other weekend and 2-3 holidays
• Effective communication and teamwork skills
