What You'll Do

• Provide high-quality nursing care to medical-surgical and telemetry patients
• Manage patient conditions including sepsis, cellulitis, DVT/PE, CHF, COPD, COVID, and PNA
• Assist with post-op overflow, including total joint and abdominal surgeries
• Perform wound management, JP drain care, wound vacs, and IV therapy
• Pass EKG competency exam prior to arrival
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team including RT, OT, PT, and hospitalists
• Document and chart patient progress using Meditech Expanse EMR
• Float within various Med/Surg units as needed

What You Need

Required:

• Valid RN license in Louisiana or eligible for licensure
• Minimum 2 years of acute care RN experience
• BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications
• Ability to pass EKG competency exam
• Skills in wound care, IV management, and patient assessment

Preferred:

• Experience in telemetry or medical-surgical settings
• Flexibility to float across units
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
