Contract | Night Shift | 12-Hour Shifts (0645-1915 / 1845-0715) | Every other weekend required | Holiday rotation with permanent staff

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a MedSurg/Telemetry Float Pool setting, managing common diagnoses including ESRD, DM, COPD, and ETOH-related conditions
• Read and interpret cardiac rhythm strips independently; float to telemetry units as assigned, with telemetry orientation provided
• Operate BiPAP and CPAP equipment as needed for assigned patients
• Serve in a Charge Nurse capacity as needed, with charge nurses not typically assigned a patient load
• Collaborate with on-site hospitalists, Respiratory Therapy (available 24/7), and Pharmacy (available 24/7) to coordinate patient care
• Document accurately using Cerner PowerChart EMR

Required Qualifications

• Active RN licensure (or compact equivalent) in good standing
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• NIHSS certification required
• Demonstrated ability to read and interpret cardiac rhythm strips
• Availability for a December start date; initial period will consist of orientation only

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Basic arrhythmia course certification preferred
• Prior experience in a MedSurg/Telemetry or float pool environment
• Familiarity with Cerner PowerChart EMR
