Job Title: Part-Time Bookkeeper / Accounting Clerk
Location: Chula Vista, CA (On-site / Hybrid)
Job Type: Part-Time (approx. 15-25 hours/week)
Pay Rate: $23 - $35 per hour (DOE)
About Us
We are a bustling, beloved restaurant located in the heart of Chula Vista, dedicated to serving our community with excellent food and hospitality. We are looking for an organized and tech-savvy Part-Time Bookkeeper to join our team and help keep our financial operations running smoothly.
The Role
As our Restaurant Bookkeeper, you will ensure our financial records are accurate, up-to-date, and compliant. You will work closely with the owner and management team to track daily sales, manage vendor invoices and reconcile accounts.
Key Responsibilities
- Sales & POS Reconciliation: Daily download and reconcile sales data from our Point of Sale (POS) system.
- Accounts Payable (AP): Process and code vendor invoices and prepare weekly payments.
- Bank & Credit Card Reconciliation: Reconcile all bank accounts monthly and merchant accounts weekly to ensure no discrepancies.
- Administrative Tasks: Maintain organized digital and physical financial files and assist with sales tax filings.
Qualifications
- Experience: Preferably 2+ years of bookkeeping experience in the restaurant, hospitality, or retail industry.
- Software Skills: Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and advanced knowledge of Excel . Experience with restaurant POS systems (specifically Clover) is a huge plus!
- Organization: Extreme attention to detail and strong math skills.
- Local to Chula Vista: Reliable transportation to our restaurant location.
