This role is critical in ensuring that sensitive financial information is transmitted securely and high-volume payments are processed accurately. Payment processing formats will include check, ACH, wire, and payment portals as well as internal account transfers. This position is located at the Irving, TX headquarters of Caris Life Sciences, directly reporting to the Senior Manager-Accounts Payable, and will work closely with the Finance, Accounting, and Treasury teams to produce accurate and timely transactional processing related to purchasing and financial operations. The successful candidate will utilize strong business understanding, accounts payable payment expertise, solid communication skills, and keen attention to detail to become an effective team member at every level of the organization, understanding business objectives and providing insightful accurate reporting in support of those objectives.Job ResponsibilitiesProcess weekly payments, utilizing check, ACH, and wire formatsManage purchasing and credit card payments in ERP system and payment portalsHandle employee reimbursement batches and paymentsGenerate weekly payables aging and payment reportsVoid and reissue payments as neededPrepare wire packets with appropriate documentation and approvalsProcess wire payables and payments in ERP systemDistribute and mail paper checks with required documentationResearch stale-dated checks and prepare escheatment recordsVerify supplier banking information to support fraud preventionSupport internal and external audit requestsPerform ad hoc payment and research tasks as neededParticipate in special projects and initiatives within the Accounting departmentCollaborate with AP, Finance, Accounting, and Treasury teams to improve processesEnsure policies, procedures, and documentation are current and accurateHelp standardize workflows for efficiency in a growing environmentRequired QualificationsHigh school diploma3+ years accounts payable experience1+ years payment processing experience, including bank wire transfers and foreign currency transactionsStrong attention to detail and thoroughnessStrong organizational and time management skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to multitask, problem-solve, and meet deadlinesProficient in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Word, Excel, Outlook, and general working knowledge of Internet for business usePreferred QualificationsAssociate degree in accounting or related fieldOracle software experience is a plusCashPro experience is a plusPhysical DemandsMust possess ability to sit and/or stand for long periods of timeMust possess ability to perform repetitive motionTrainingAll job specific, safety, and compliance training are assigned based on the job functions associated with this employeeConditions of Employment: Individual must successfully complete pre-employment process, which includes criminal background check, drug screening, credit check ( applicable for certain positions) and reference verification.This job description reflects management’s assignment of essential functions.
