Job Title: Picker and Packer

Job Description

This role focuses on accurately picking, packing, and preparing products for shipment in a collaborative, team-oriented warehouse environment. You will work at a packing station, follow packing lists and box size requirements, and ensure all products are packaged, labeled, and palletized according to customer and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Pick products accurately according to packing lists and customer orders.
• Select appropriate box sizes and packaging materials based on product type and order requirements.
• Pack products into boxes neatly and securely, ensuring items are protected during transit.
• Bag products according to customer specifications while coordinating with other packers.
• Weigh packed boxes to confirm they meet shipping and order requirements.
• Tape and label boxes clearly and correctly for shipment.
• Place completed boxes onto pallets in an organized and stable manner for transport.
• Follow written work instructions in English to complete tasks accurately and efficiently.
• Work closely with team members and maintain a positive, cooperative attitude.
• Adhere to all safety procedures and pass a safety test after viewing the required safety video.

Essential Skills

• Ability to work well with others in a team-oriented environment.
• High school education or equivalent.
• Ideally at least 6 months of warehouse, picking, or packing experience.
• Experience with picking and packing in a warehouse or production setting.
• Ability to bag product while working alongside packers.
• Good communication skills.
• Strong safety awareness and safety-conscious work habits.
• Ability to follow written work instructions in English.
• Ability to successfully pass a safety test after watching a safety video.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Previous experience in warehouse packing, packaging, or general production environments.
• Familiarity with weighing, taping, labeling, and palletizing boxes.
• Comfort working with basic packaging tools and equipment.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of West Springfield, MA.

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.80/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in West Springfield,MA.
