Key Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a school paraprofessional or in a similar support capacity in educational environments.
• Demonstrated expertise or strong interest working with students with profound and severe disabilities is highly sought after.
• Flexible, adaptable, and responsive to changing classroom needs.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to maintain professional boundaries while offering compassionate, individualized care.
• Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with teachers, therapists, and other school staff.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide 1:1 support to assigned students under the direction of classroom teachers and special education staff.
• Assist with implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) and behavioral plans.
• Support students in various classroom, life-skills, and potentially community-based settings.
• Facilitate communication, mobility, and daily living activities as needed.
• Create an inclusive, safe, and nurturing learning environment.
• Accurately document and communicate student progress and observations to educators.
