Associate Accountant

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES The Associate Accountant is involved in all aspects of the day-to-day accounting functions (A/R, A/P and general ledger) of the organization; and will be actively involved in the month end closing process by preparing journal entries, account reconciliations, and budget to actual comparisons. In addition, the Associate Accountant will generate and analyze financial reports to be used by organization managers and serve as a resource for their questions. MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED “Embrace the mission and vision of the Catholic Diocese of Green Bay and work in accordance with Catholic Teachings and the moral and ethical values of the Catholic Church.” Associate degree in accounting or business required. 2 to 3 years of accounting related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience with Abila MIP accounting software or other accounting software. Attention to detail. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to multi-task. Strong organizational skills. MS Office, with strong Excel skills. Able to work well in a team environment. Keeps sensitive information confidential.
