Join our team at A.MANO Brooklyn in Prospect Heights — a gift and stationery shop showcasing work by local Brooklyn artists. Our in-store café serves neighbors their morning coffee and welcomes anyone who wants a refreshment while browsing the shop.
Currently the café operates 7am–5pm offering coffee and tea; starting in September we’ll add evening wine service and small plates (charcuterie, bread & butter), creating a cozy neighborhood gathering spot. We’re hiring people comfortable serving both coffee and wine and preparing simple plates. It’s an exciting chance to be part of a growing hangout that supports local artists and brings the community together day and night!
Servers should greet customers with a smile and provide excellent hospitality, accurately take orders at the counter and prepare beverages at an efficient pace, maintain our standard of cleanliness, and most importantly, treat other employees with respect.
REQUIREMENTS
- 2+ years of experience serving in the hospitality industry.
- Experience with POS (Shopify & Toast) systems responsible for performing transactions.
- Willing to show up in a neat and professional manner in accordance with the store management’s dress code.
- Open (if necessary) and Close the café independently
- NYC Certification in Food Protection
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Kindness and a sense of humor
