Soom Soom Fresh is a fast-paced restaurant committed to providing exceptional food, outstanding customer service, and a positive team environment. We are looking for a motivated, hands-on Restaurant Manager / Shift Leader to help lead our team and ensure smooth daily operations.

Position Summary

The Restaurant Manager / Shift Leader is responsible for overseeing daily restaurant operations, leading staff, maintaining food quality and safety standards, and delivering an exceptional customer experience. This position requires strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise front-of-house and kitchen staff during shifts.

• Ensure excellent customer service and resolve guest concerns professionally.

• Hire, train, coach, and develop team members.

• Create and manage employee schedules.

• Monitor labor costs, inventory levels, and overall restaurant performance.

• Verify incoming deliveries and address discrepancies.

• Ensure food quality, consistency, and adherence to company standards.

• Maintain compliance with health, safety, sanitation, and food handling regulations.

• Oversee cash handling, deposits, and register reconciliation.

• Assist with opening and closing procedures.

• Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work environment.

• Foster teamwork, accountability, and employee engagement.

• Communicate effectively with ownership, staff, vendors, and customers.

• Handle employee incidents, attendance issues, and HR-related reporting requirements.

Qualifications

• Previous restaurant management or supervisory experience required.

• Strong leadership and team-building skills.

• Excellent communication and customer service abilities.

• Ability to multitask and solve problems under pressure.

• Knowledge of restaurant operations, food safety, and labor management.

• Experience with scheduling, inventory management, and cash handling.

• Food Handler Certification (or ability to obtain).

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift.

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced restaurant environment, including exposure to heat, noise, and varying temperatures.

• Ability to bend, reach, stoop, kneel, push, and pull as needed.
