Tidewater Foot & Ankle Associates is looking for an experienced Medical Assistant to join our team! This is a FULL TIME time position (approximately 38 hours a week). Candidates should have excellent customer service skills to represent our practice. Strong computer skills are required. Experience in podiatry is a plus. Job duties:

- Escort patients to treatment rooms

- Utilize the EMR to input patient information

- Report directly to the physician

- Assist the physician with procedures as needed

- Clean and sterilize instruments daily

- Send electronic referrals/orders

- Assist the front desk staff when needed

- Sanitize treatment room between patients

- Maintain clean and organized treatment rooms

- Perform various back office tasks as needed

- Ensure all required paperwork is completed by patients prior to treatment

- Adhere to HIPAA regulations

Qualification Requirements:

- Experience in a medical office

- Must be dependable and reliable

- High school diploma or equivalent

- Experience using EHR, preferably eClinicalWorks

- Must be able to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment

- Must work efficiently to stay on time for scheduled appointments

- Must be able to perform computer tasks quickly and accurately.

- Must be physically able to stand, squat, bend and lift over 20 lbs.

Candidates will undergo a criminal background check and must have reliable transportation.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: NEGOTIABLE (Hourly amount can vary based on experience)

Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week
