Lead HVAC Service Technician -Florida Class A CAC-Field Lead/Qualifier

Job Description

Job Description

This is a hands-on field position. You will be running service calls.

Foundation Home Services is launching Foundation HVAC, a new residential & Commercial HVAC company serving Broward and Palm Beach. We're hiring our first and most important team member: a Florida Class A CAC who will be in the truck every day running diagnostics, repairs, maintenance and replacements . You'll also serve as the company's Qualifying Agent and help build the technical side of the business from day one.

At launch, you are the field operation , and ownership works in the field alongside you. As accounts grow, you'll help hire and lead the technicians who follow, and your role will shift toward supervision, quality control and operations leadership.

This is not a license-rental position. If you're looking to qualify a company without working in it, this isn't the right fit.

What Your Day Looks Like

• Running residential service calls: diagnostics, repairs, maintenance and system change-outs
• Presenting repair and replacement options to homeowners clearly and honestly
• Pulling permits and making sure every job meets Florida code
• Setting the standard for diagnostics, installs and cleanliness in the customer's home
• Serving as Primary Qualifying Agent, subject to DBPR/CILB approval
• Helping build our pricebook, select equipment and open distributor accounts
• As we grow: hiring, training and supervising techs and installers, and reviewing callbacks and warranty work

What Ownership Handles

Marketing, lead generation, customer acquisition, scheduling systems, finance and technology. You won't be chasing leads or doing the books. Your job is the work and the standard it's done to.

How You Get Paid

This is a performance-based role. We're building new accounts together, and your pay grows with the business you help build.

• Hourly base pay plus overtime
• Quarterly performance bonuses , paid every 3 months and based on revenue from the accounts we build, new maintenance memberships, and quality (low callbacks)
• Annual profit share on the HVAC division
• Year-one target total compensation: Targets are set together, in writing, before you start.

What We Provide

• Company truck and fuel card
• Company tools, gauges and equipment, including A2L-ready tools
• Company phone/tablet
• Paid time off
• A real leadership role, growing into Director of HVAC Operations as the company scales

Required

• Active Florida Certified Class A Air-Conditioning Contractor (CAC) license in good standing
• Willing and able to run service calls in the field daily, including attics and rooftop units in South Florida heat
• Strong residential service and replacement experience
• EPA 608 Universal certification
• Working knowledge of Florida HVAC code and permitting
• Valid Florida driver's license and an acceptable driving record
• Ability to pass a background check
• Professional and honest with homeowners

Preferred

• 10+ years in residential & commercial HVAC
• Experience as a lead tech or service manager, or as a former HVAC business owner
• A2L refrigerant experience
• Flat-rate pricing and field-service software (ServiceTitan, Housecall Pro or similar)
• Maintenance agreement or membership program experience
• Existing South Florida distributor relationships

Who This Is For

• A Class A CAC who still enjoys the work and wants to build something, not just clock in
• A lead tech or service manager ready to set the standard at a company from day one
• A former owner who misses the trade but not the marketing, paperwork and collections
