Job Description Research Quality Manager (Remote – United States). No relocation assistance or visa sponsorship. Responsibilities Develop and maintain effective relationships with investigative sites and other SCRI departments and colleagues. Monitor and modify policies and procedures. Utilize quality tools that assess the quality indicators of study operations. Monitor quality indicators for all sites using a risk‑based approach within the framework of QBD – Quality by Design, prioritizing indicators based on severity/urgency. Identify areas of deficiency in quality and report those deficiencies to SCRI Directors and relevant colleagues. Assist the business in developing and modifying process documents. Assist with preparation and hosting of external audits. Assist research staff in maintaining regulatory compliance. Perform process‑focused audits of research sites using audit tools to ensure quality, reporting findings to leadership. Ensure timely and appropriate follow‑up in areas of deficiency. Communicate observations and deficiencies to Site Director/Manager and Study PI as appropriate. Assist sites with root‑cause analysis and responses to external audits and CAPAs. Maintain records of audits and corresponding reports. Communicate with monitors and auditors of clinical trials, as needed. Educate staff in quality‑improvement methods and industry trends. Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree required; Master’s Degree preferred. Minimum 3 years of experience in Quality Assurance, Quality Management, or Quality Auditing, preferably in clinical research, healthcare, or life sciences. Expertise in GCP, FDA regulations, and risk‑based environments.
