Human Resources Director

The Director of Human Resources will lead and oversee all HR functions for a manufacturing organization, partnering closely with executive leadership and plant operations. This role is responsible for developing and executing people strategies that support business goals, drive operational performance, and foster a strong, compliant, and engaged workforce. Key Responsibilities Serve as a strategic HR partner to executive leadership and plant management Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with business and operational goals Lead and mentor the HR team, setting clear priorities and performance expectations Employee Relations & Compliance Oversee employee relations, investigations, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations Manage labor relations as applicable, including union environments if relevant Talent & Workforce Planning Oversee talent acquisition strategies for salaried, hourly, and leadership roles Partner with operations to support workforce planning, succession planning, and retention Drive performance management, coaching, and development initiatives Compensation, Benefits & HR Operations Oversee compensation structures, benefits programs, and annual review cycles Manage HR policies, procedures, and HRIS systems Analyze HR metrics and trends to support data-driven decision-making Culture & Engagement Promote a positive, accountable workplace culture focused on safety, performance, and continuous improvement Lead initiatives related to engagement, DEI, training, and leadership development Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s preferred) 8+ years of progressive HR experience, including leadership responsibility Manufacturing or industrial environment experience strongly preferred Strong knowledge of employment law, employee relations, and HR best practices Proven ability to partner with operations and executive leadership Experience supporting hourly and salaried populations Preferred Certifications SPHR, SHRM-SCP, or similar certification Comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, 401(k), and PTO #J-18808-Ljbffr Nesco Resource
