Pipe & Mechanical Estimator

The Opportunity

As the Piping and Mechanical Equipment Estimator , you will have the opportunity to:

• Work on Piping and Mechanical estimates in the following Industries: 
  
  • Advanced Power Generation (APG) 
  • LNG/FLNG 
  • Oil and Gas 
  • Water/Wastewater 
  • Process Industries 
• Support development of complete proposal estimates by combining multi-discipline inputs for Piping and Mechanical Equipment scopes. 
• Review design scopes, perform quantity takeoffs, and analyze construction productivity 
• Develop estimate components including contingency, escalation, and cost reconciliation 
• Perform cross-project comparisons of scope, quantities, and costs 
• Prepare management presentations and maintain historical cost data 
• Review designs/specifications for cost efficiency and recommend improvements 
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and related change management

Preferred Qualifications

• 2-10 years of relevant experience 
• Field and/or Project experience 
• Knowledgeable Piping and/or Mechanical skillset 
• Project Field experience 
• Good communication skills 
• The ability to manage workload in one or more projects 
• Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) proficiency 
• Experience with estimating databases is a plus 

Minimum Qualifications

• 2 to 5 years of relevant experience is required
• All applicants must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (if selected) which may include any/all of the following: criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search, in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations.

Work Environment/Physical Demands

Hybrid or flexible work options may be offered after the first 90 days of employment based upon manager discretion, job performance and work assignments.
