Crate Builder / Packaging Technician

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Crate Builder / Packaging Technician to join our team. This role involves building large wooden crates used for shipping industrial machinery and oversized materials. The ideal candidate will have experience with carpentry, construction, packaging, or material handling using cranes or forklifts. This is a hands-on general labor position requiring the use of power tools and the ability to work with wood and framing materials.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build large wooden crates for shipping industrial machinery and oversized materials
• Measure, cut, and assemble wood using 2x4s, plywood, and other materials
• Operate hand tools and power tools including nail guns, staple guns, and pneumatic tools
• Assist with moving large equipment and materials using cranes or forklifts (if experienced)
• Package machines or large parts for domestic and export shipping
• Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean work environment
• Travel to off-site locations for packaging projects when needed (may include multi-day, out-of-state travel)

Qualifications:

• Experience in carpentry, construction, framing, remodeling, or woodworking preferred
• Experience with cranes or forklifts for moving machinery or large materials is a plus
• Familiarity with power tools such as nail guns, staple guns, hammers, and tape measures
• Ability to identify and work with lumber sizes such as 2x4, 2x6, and 2x8
• Experience with export packaging or building large shipping crates is highly preferred but not required
• Comfortable performing general labor and physical work

Requirements:

• Must be reliable and show up ready to work
• Must be willing to learn and be trained
• Comfortable using power tools and working with wood materials
• Ability to travel for off-site packaging projects when needed
• Steel-toe boots required
• Have to take your own measuring tape and hammer to the job

• Crate building or export packaging
• Construction or framing houses
• Working with plywood and lumber
• Operating forklifts or cranes
• Remodeling or general carpentry work
