Eaton’s ES GEIS BLD division is currently seeking a Machinist (3rd Shift) - Tool & Die to join our team in Reno, NV! The hourly rate for this position is $34.20 plus $1 shift differential per hour. What you’ll do: Eaton’s B-Line division is currently seeking a Machinist to join our 2nd shift team in Tool and Die. This position is based at our Reno, NV. Able to determine and assess damage to existing tooling and what steps necessary to repair tooling. Able to determine if Die is dull or cracked and needs to be resharpened or repaired. Able to determine if the poor quality of a product is the result of a tooling problem, or a setup problem. Able to Perform Die Changeovers for different products. Read blueprints, use calipers, micrometers, and tape measure for checking dimensions. IND123 Qualifications: Basic Qualification: Must have a minimum of three (3) years machining experience and skilled in the operation of lathes, grinding machines, milling machines, drill presses, and surface grinders Must have a minimum of three (3) years experience in an industrial environment or similar environment Ability to read blueprints, use calipers, micrometers, and tape measures for checking dimensions. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship. No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of Reno, NV will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation. Skills: Position Criteria: Ability to communicate effectively in written and verbal format Able to work safely and produce effectively with minimal supervision. Able to stand on feet continuously during working shift. Able to regularly lift 35 pounds without assistance. Occasionally lift up to 50 lbs. with assistance. Ability to read and interpret documents such as technical data, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to function independently in a multi-task environment, as well as part of a team. Ability to manage multiple conflicting priorities. Strong verbal and written communication skills, persuasive skills, and analytical problem-solving skills. Work with individuals and groups to effectively participate within team environment. Strong organizational, presentation, and conflict resolution skills. Proficient with computers and programs including Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and SharePoint) Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment as required by company policy and procedure.
