Assistant Controller

Maintain full ownership of accounting for all off-balance sheet loan funds Ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of all financial records in accordance with GAAP Monitor cash positions across various bank accounts and funding needs for operations and lending Prepare and deliver monthly and quarterly financial reporting packages Develop clear, actionable insights on fund performance, drivers, and risks Serve as a primary finance contact for investors, capital providers, external auditors, as well as internal teams Coordinate the annual budgeting and periodic forecasting processes for all assigned funds Support and enhance loan servicing and accounting systems Contribute to continuous improvement of finance operations and reporting Requirements Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent is required CPA is a plus 5-7 years accounting experience is required some public accounting experience is a plus Must be highly motivated, able to work independently and possess strong written and oral communication skills Must possess strong financial, analytical, organizational, and quantitative skills Must demonstrate strong ethics and professionalism in interpersonal relations and work as an effective team member Strong automation skills, including proficiency in Microsoft products and accounting applications Expertise in loan servicing software a plus Experience with accounting systems required Experience with Workday and/or Adaptive is a plus Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) is required Able to work effectively both independently and in team environments Core Competencies Demonstrates expertise in accounting practices, including GAAP compliance, financial reporting, and loan servicing.
