The Challenge

We're looking for a Solutions Engineer (SE) to join our Solutions Engineering team. In this role, you'll partner closely with Sales to help prospective customers understand how OneTrust can address complex privacy, security, governance, and compliance challenges.

As a trusted technical advisor, you'll guide customers through discovery, product demonstrations, technical evaluations, proof-of-concepts, and integration discussions. You'll help organizations evaluate how OneTrust solutions fit within their existing technology ecosystem while collaborating with Product, Engineering, and Customer Success teams to drive successful outcomes throughout the sales process.

Your Mission

• Serve as a technical resource throughout the sales cycle, partnering with Account Executives to support new business opportunities.
• Deliver compelling product demonstrations and technical presentations tailored to customer requirements and business objectives.
• Conduct technical discovery sessions to understand customer environments, workflows, and integration needs.
• Support proof-of-concept evaluations and demonstrate how OneTrust solutions can address customer use cases and technical requirements.
• Help architect and communicate technical solutions that align with customer goals and existing technology investments.
• Collaborate with customers on API capabilities, integrations, data flows, and implementation considerations.
• Support RFPs, security questionnaires, technical documentation requests, and other aspects of the evaluation process.
• Partner cross-functionally with Product Management, Engineering, Professional Services, and Customer Success teams to remain current on product capabilities and roadmap enhancements.
• Develop expertise across the privacy, security, governance, and compliance landscape while staying informed on market trends and competitive positioning.
• Build trusted relationships with both technical and executive-level stakeholders throughout the buying journey.

Your Experience Includes

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 3-7 years of experience in Solutions Engineering, Sales Engineering, Technical Consulting, Professional Services, Customer Success, Implementation Consulting, or a related customer-facing technical role.
• Experience presenting software solutions and delivering product demonstrations to prospective customers.
• Solid understanding of SaaS applications, cloud technologies, and enterprise software architectures.
• Experience gathering technical requirements and translating business needs into solution recommendations.
• Familiarity with APIs, integrations, and web technologies.
• Experience working with REST APIs, JSON, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, or similar technologies preferred.
• Exposure to software implementation, technical consulting, solution design, or enterprise application deployments.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to solve complex technical problems.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical audiences.
• Ability to build strong working relationships across Sales, Product, Engineering, and Customer Success organizations.
• Self-starter who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced, and evolving environment.
• Willingness to travel as needed (approximately 25%).

For California, Colorado, Connecticut, Nevada, New York, Rhode Island, and Washington-based candidates: the annual base pay range for this role is listed below. Within this range, individual pay is determined by several factors, including location, job-related skills, work experience, and relevant education and/or training. This role may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, equity, and/or commissions, as well as benefits.

Salary Range

$81,150—$108,200 USD
