Travel Registered Nurse – Telemetry (7A–7P)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13 Weeks | Days (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM) | Expected 36 hours/week | Every other weekend required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 24-bed Telemetry unit with a 4:1 patient-to-nurse ratio, serving a generalized cardiac population ranging from young adults to elderly adults
• Monitor and interpret telemetry data using equipment including Life Paks, Zoll, and Masimo devices
• Manage common cardiac diagnoses and treatments including chest pain, A-fib, CHF, and pre- and post-procedural care for cardiac catheterizations (groin and radial approaches) and VATS
• Document patient care accurately using Cerner EHR (required)
• May occasionally float to IMCU, NPCU, and/or Surgical units as needed

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license
• BLS certification (required)
• ACLS certification (required)
• NIH Stroke Scale certification (required)
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience in a telemetry or cardiac setting
• Proficiency with Life Pak, Zoll, and Masimo equipment
• Cerner EHR experience is required
• Associate degree in Nursing or higher
• Must reside at least 60 miles from the facility to be eligible for travel rates

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with pre- and post-cardiac catheterization care (groin and radial)
• Familiarity with VATS patient management
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to thrive in a family-oriented unit culture
