Water/Wastewater Senior Project Manager

Freese and Nichols is seeking a Transmission and Utilities Senior Project Manager to lead transformative water infrastructure projects from our Charlotte, North Carolina office. This pivotal role commands your expertise in project management and technical oversight throughout all phases—studies, design, and construction—focused on advancing water and sewer distribution systems, collection piping, and pump stations, with a strong emphasis on innovative design-build and collaborative project delivery methods. Join us to drive impactful solutions, lead diverse multidisciplinary teams, and play a key role in shaping the future of sustainable water infrastructure in thriving communities.Serve as senior project manager for water/sewer distribution/collection system piping, pump stations, and treatment plant projectsPlan, execute, monitor, control and close projects using earned value management principlesProvide supervision of multi-discipline teams of engineers, engineering technicians, GIS analysts, designers, CAD staff, sub-consultants, etc. Coordinate assigned work to ensure continuity, consistency, and quality.Design and review calculations of others and seal drawings and reportsAbility to work independently and mentor junior staffMaintain effective communication with client, client’s staff, regulatory agencies and within project teamsParticipate in business development activities including engineering scope and fee preparation, proposal preparation, and marketing activities.
