Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Med-surg Adult, Orthopedic Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Nights Hours per Shift: 36 Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: Current nursing license Certifications: NIHSS, BLS, ACLS Must-Have: Requires floating to clinically appropriate units as needed, within the clinician’s scope of practice, licensure, and demonstrated competencies. Weekend and call requirements include every other weekend and possibility of floating to other Med-surg departments. Description: The registered nurse is responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a Med-surg adult and orthopedic setting. Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills are essential for success in this role. Collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to deliver patient-centered care is required. The position involves monitoring patients, administering medications, and ensuring adherence to treatment plans. Effective documentation and familiarity with electronic medical records are necessary. The registered nurse will be expected to handle patient education and support families throughout the care process. Adherence to all safety and infection control protocols is mandatory. The role may involve maintaining a positive work environment and participating in continuous improvement initiatives. Flexibility and adaptability are crucial in responding to changing patient needs.
