STAFF ACCOUNTANT JOB DESCRIPTION

RESPONSIBILITIES

Assists with the day-to day, monthly and year-end operations of the Accounting/Finance Department

Prepare journal entries for monthly close, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with overall accounting policies and procedures

Ensure accounts are properly supported and reconciled

Ensure intercompany accounts are properly reconciled across regions. 

Support consolidated reporting of monthly financials statements for USA regions, which consist of multiple legal entities and some joint venture partnerships.

Support preparation of weekly income and cash flow forecasting distributed to executive management.

Support preparation of monthly capital expenditure reporting.

Assist in development of annual budget.

Gather information and prepare schedules as required for annual audit and tax compliance deliverables.

Serve as back up for centralized accounts receivable.

Perform other accounting related duties including, but not limited to research, reporting and ad hoc analysis projects as assigned.

 

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor’s degree in accounting

1-2 years of experience

Technology skills – proficient in Excel (pivot tables a plus); experience in other Microsoft office software; enterprise software experience a plus.

Team player with strong analytical skills and attention to detail

Excellent oral and written communication skills

Must be able to multi-task, establish priorities and organize efficiently
