Overview Registered Nurse – Emergency Department (ER) in Potsdam, NY. Travel assignment in a hospital ED serving combined adult and pediatric patients with Level III Trauma Center and Primary Stroke Center capabilities. Start date 08/10/2026 for a weeks-long assignment with nights (3x12) from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM. Weekly pay ranges from $1,989 to $2,081. No guaranteed hours. Key Highlights Weekly pay: $1,989–$2,081 per week Start date: 08/10/2026 Shift: Nights, 7:00 PM–7:00 AM (3x12) Assignment duration: Weeks Setting: Hospital emergency department with combined adult and pediatric care, Level III Trauma Center / Primary Stroke Center Orientation: 24 hours EPIC charting experience is mandatory Responsibilities Provide initial assessment, triage, and ongoing care for mixed-age ED patients, including neonates through geriatrics Manage neuro-trauma, spinal injuries, burns, and other trauma presentations; support stroke care protocols Monitor and support patients requiring ventilatory assistance; manage IV therapies, medications, and blood product administration Collaborate with Respiratory, Phlebotomy, Radiology, Pharmacy, Rapid Response, and other teams; communicate clearly using SBAR Perform procedures and pharmacologic therapies as trained; ensure accurate documentation in EPIC Educate patients and families on care plans, discharge instructions, and safety considerations Requirements Active New York RN license in hand to submit Minimum 2 years ED experience required; trauma experience preferred Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS, TNCC EPIC charting experience is mandatory COVID-19 vaccine not required Ability to work nights and float to related ED areas as needed Travel eligibility; distance restrictions: candidates must reside more than 50 miles from assignment; locals are not accepted; candidates within 75 miles are not accepted Orientation and pre-start modules will be completed prior to start; background checks reviewed on a case-by-case basis Benefits 24-hour orientation prior to start Pre-start training modules; some time may be billable Onboarding and credentialing support, with background checks processed per policy Return staff policy: 1 year Ongoing support from a dedicated recruiter during assignment Compliance guidance and assistance throughout the onboarding process Scheduling support and clear points of contact during the contract #J-18808-Ljbffr HealthForce Healthcare
