As a Security Officer Entry Control in Topeka, KS, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a food and beverage location, you will help maintain a welcoming, controlled environment by monitoring entry points, verifying access credentials, and documenting visitor activity. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate clearly with employees and guests, and support security-related incident response. Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $17.16 / Hour Job Schedule: Tue 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM Wed 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM Thur 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM Fri 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM Sat 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM What You'll Do: Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access requirements, and emergency response activities at a food and beverage production location. Monitor and control access to the facility, including verifying credentials, issuing visitor badges, maintaining visitor and contractor logs, and following established entry and exit procedures. Observe access points, monitor alarms and/or surveillance systems as assigned, and report unusual activity, unauthorized access attempts, or equipment concerns to appropriate site contacts. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and documenting activities in required reports. Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, production-area perimeters, parking areas, and other assigned locations; working environments and conditions may vary by site. Minimum Requirements: A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
