Assistant Plant Manager

The Assistant Plant Manager supports the Plant Manager in overseeing all aspects of daily operations within the manufacturing facility. This includes production, safety, quality, and workforce management in a high-volume, unionized automotive manufacturing environment. The Assistant Plant Manager provides strong leadership to ensure operational goals are met safely, efficiently, and in alignment with company standards and customer requirements.

• s.Ensure compliance with all company safety policies, procedures, and established safe work practices; report all unsafe conditions or behaviors to the Plant Manager and/or EHS Manage

• t.Supervise, manage, and develop employees, including performance management, coaching, and disciplinary processes in accordance with collective bargaining agreement
• s.Coordinate with maintenance, quality, logistics, and engineering teams to maintain optimal production flow and minimize downtim
• e.Monitor production metrics to ensure that targets for safety, quality, cost, and delivery are consistently achieve
• d.Assist in evaluating equipment capacity and performance; recommend and implement improvements to meet monthly and long-term production goal
• s.Maintain accurate departmental records, ensuring compliance with company retention and destruction policie
• s.Communicate regularly with the Plant Manager regarding plant performance, personnel issues, production schedules, and operational challenge

• s: Minimum of five (5) years of progressive leadership experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably within the automotive industry and a unionized facili
